International Speech and Evaluation Contest

2008 International Speech & Evaluation Contest
Billings MONTANA
Toastmasters International Division B, composed of 22 clubs in Eastern Montana and one club from Williston, N.D., completed the International Speech Contest and Speech Evaluation competition on Saturday, April 12, in Billings.

In the International Speech Contest, each speaker was to prepare a speech on a topic of his or her choosing. Rich Breiner of Great Falls placed first with his speech, "Born to Boogie." Nancy Brook of Billings placed second with her speech, "Mojo," and Shyla Swanson of Bozeman placed third with her speech, "I can live with disappointment but not with regret."

In the speech evaluation contest, contestants listened to a speech by Jim Brown from Billings entitled "What we need to know" and presented their evaluations of that speech. Nancy Brook of Billings placed first, Pete Bruno of Glendive placed second and Rich Breiner of Great Falls placed third.
